The continuing strong demand for new superyachts puts pressure on yards to compress build times, control or even reduce costs, create higher levels of finish; all at the same time as being creative. The end product may have luxury fit outs and innovative solutions to many creature-comforts but all of this has to be engineered and fabricated to exacting standards and time sensitive production programmes. Three dimensional vessels studies and extensive computer design are carried out in-house. At the heart of CMN lies probably the most sophisticated computer wizardry, the CIRCE-CATIA computer software, that is capable of working with all major challenges from naval architecture, design, spatial layout, finite element analysis to engineering and fabrication of even the smallest component. The CATIA software also used in aeronautics or industry is a powerful tool able to integrate complex systems resulting in optimised internal space. This software linked to modern digitally controlled plasma-cutting machines, together with modern automatic welding equipment, enables CMN to maintain a very high standard of hull construction and ensures that CMN is able to optimise designs to exactly fulfil clients' requirements.
